Harbour wall

The Harbour wall is probably the most favorite spot to take the kids for a day out fishing.  Small Spotted Grunter, Strepie and Dassie are caught from the wall.  This can keep kids (and adults) busy for hours on end.  This gives dad a chance to rig his rod for BIG fish.  Baits normally used include chokka, sardine, red bait and mullet.  Live bait can also be used. (don't let the kids find out you stole their fish).  During season, shad are frequently caught off the harbour wall as well as the occasional Cob.  Smaller shark species also frequents the area and make for some entertaining fishing.  Best times for catching Shad and Cob is high tide at sunrise or sunset.  Best winds for the wall is north-westerly.
